The APM Music Search system allows you to search by keywords, much like Google. Typing in single terms or phrases will return a list of tracks, sorted with the most recent relevant tracks at the top of the list.
Upon typing a search term within the search box, you will notice a window appear with autocompleted shortcut choices.
- Choosing a predicted term from within one of the window’s fields will restrict results to only that field while just hitting “Enter” will default to finding matching tracks for ALL fields.
- The more terms you add to the search, the narrower your results.
- By adding quotes to a phrase and pressing the enter key, you will search for the exact phrase. You can also try phrases to exclude terms such as “Rock or Pop” or “Rock not Pop,” for instance.
- The Track Title and Album Title fields show actual titles within the database that are most relevant to your search.
